Trusted commercial waste management
in Manchester

Companies keeping pace with a busy city can’t afford major disruption, so our service is designed to provide reliable commercial waste management you don’t have to think about.

Manchester brings its own logistical challenges when it comes to waste collection, from the Metrolink running directly through busy commercial streets to the many pedestrianised shopping areas, and regular traffic around the Old Trafford, Etihad Stadium or AO Arena.

Simpler Recycling and Greater Manchester recycling obligations

From 31 March 2025, all Greater Manchester businesses with 10 or more full time employees must separately have food waste, glass, paper and cardboard, and mixed recyclables collected separately under the national Simpler Recycling regulations. Greater Manchester also operates the Recycle for Greater Manchester (RFGM) as its regional recycling body, supporting businesses and residents across all 10 GMCA towan and citys to meet their recycling obligations. Manchester City Council does not provide separate recycling collection for commercial premises. At Business Waste we provide collections for all four Simpler Recycling separate collection waste types for any Manchester and Greater Manchester businesses, be it food waste collection for Manchester’s hospitality sector, glass recycling for bars and restaurants, cardboard recycling for Trafford Park and Airport City distribution businesses (with rebates available on high volume segregated and baled cardboard), and mixed recycling for office and retail premises.

We cater to companies across every major sector, from corporate office blocks in the city centre to pubs out in Stretford and Middleton.
