Waste Collection
Lincoln
We can help you manage absolutely any kind of trade waste, including hazardous materials such as asbestos and clinical waste. We can also help you to protect the environment and boost your green credentials by helping with your recycling efforts – something that is increasingly important to customers and clients – and handle collections and disposal to keep your premises rubbish-free.
Our services may involve providing you with multiple wheelie bins, rear end or front loaders, skips or roll-on and off containers for your business or simply giving you a single wheelie bin to accompany guaranteed collections you can rely on. This applies regardless of the type of business you run as we are just as happy to work with a hotel in Eastgate as we are with the owners of Lincoln Castle or a business in Bailgate. Simply get in touch today.
Waste Disposal
Lincoln
Lincolnshire is home to no less than 11 household recycling centres but that doesn’t solve trade waste dilemmas – we can! We can assist your business in recycling everything possible, whether its bottles from your pub in Saxilby Road, packaging from your restaurant in High Street, or shop waste from one of the 200 or more stores in the city. We have a zero-to-landfill policy, which means we handle every kind of recyclable material, including cardboard and paper, building materials, green waste, metal and plastic.
Recycling
Lincoln
Lincoln is home to more than 130,000 people and attracts thousands of visitors each year, drawn by a history spanning more than 2,000 years and its world-famous cathedral. Local businesses include a vast array of boutique and bigger name shops, plus a multitude of places to drink and eat.
These include those in the main tourist and shopping area which stretches from the St Marks Shopping Centre up to what is known as the Cathedral Quarter – or Uphill to the locals. Uphill and downhill are connected by Steep Hill, which was named as Britain’s Great Street in 2012.
All of the customers and clients of these businesses create huge amounts of trade waste, which all need to be handled carefully and sensitively in order to maintain the appeal of the area for both locals and visitors alike. Business Waste is on hand to help with this, offering everything from regular trade waste collections to the delivery of wheelie bins and other receptacles to make waste disposal as easy and stress-free as possible.
Trust
Business Waste
Whether your business is located on Brayford Waterfront, in the Cathedral Quarter or just a stone’s throw from the Great Northern Terrace Household Waste Recycling Centre, we can take on your waste management so that you can focus on other core business matters.

Got a
Question?
-
Can I add an additional bin to my service?
Yes, of course. We can provide extra bins for new waste streams to encourage recycling. Or if you’re simply producing more waste of the same type, we can add an extra or larger bin to your delivery and collection services if you’re at capacity.
-
Do you supply a duty of care certificate?
Yes, we provide a duty of care certificate (also known as a waste transfer note (WTN)) free of charge as part of your service agreement. This is included for free every time we collect any type of waste from your premises. Duty of care certificates are a legal requirement and licensed waste carriers can complete them for free – so you should never be charged for one.
Find out more about them in our guide to waste transfer notes.
-
How often will my bin be emptied?
We offer our customers a choice of daily, weekly, or fortnightly collections – so your bins are emptied as often as you want. Our expert team can advise on the correct waste collection schedule based on the type and amount of waste you produce and your business needs – such as your bin storage space and location.
-
What time will my bin be collected?
Bin collection times vary depending on your location, waste type, number and size of bins, and other factors. We work with all our customers to ensure your waste is always collected on time when it’s suitable for you and the licensed waste carrier. We can work around access times to arrange collections at convenient times.
-
What type of wheelie bins are available?
A range of two and four-wheel bins are available to store all sorts of waste on your premises. Explore our bins to see all available bins and information about what types and amounts of waste they can hold.
For any questions and answers about wheelie bin weight limits, sizes, locks, and anything else – read our bin FAQ guide.
-
How can we reduce our waste?
There are many ways to reduce the amount of waste we produce as individuals and businesses. A waste audit can highlight where you’re producing lots of waste as a starting place to cut down. Simple steps to reduce waste include efficient purchasing, buying reusable products, and recycling as much as possible. For more tips, read our guide about how to reduce waste.
If you have specific questions about reducing a certain type of waste, find the relevant page in Your Waste.

-
Is Business Waste ISO certified?
Yes, Business Waste has received Alcumus ISOQAR certification for:
- ISO 9001: 2015 – Quality management systems
- ISO 14001: 2015 – Environmental management systems
These are both in the scope of registration for the provision of waste management brokerage.
-
What is ISO certification and why is it important?
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental group that uses experts to set global standards for providing innovation and solutions to worldwide challenges. ISO certification confirms a management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure meets the requirements for standardisation and quality assurance.
ISO certification is provided by a third party – in our case Alcumus ISOQAR, which provides UKAS accredited ISO certification. The standards provide benchmarks for businesses to meet, ensuring achieving ISO certification demonstrates a well-run, stable business that’s ready to grow. There are more than 20,000 management standards, but the two we’ve achieved provide the following benefits:
- ISO 9001: 2015 – helps put our customers first.
- ISO 14001: 2015 – reduces our environmental impact.
