Found in the heart of Yorkshire, Barnsley is the quintessential northern town and is home to nearly a hundred thousand people. Bordering the beautiful Peak District, Barnsley is surrounded by verdant green parkland and picturesque villages, meaning the area is very much a mixture of urban and rural – and has waste requirements concomitant with both.
As with many similar cities, the decline of certain industries offered difficulties, but Barnsley in 2017 is very much a city on the upswing with numerous significant developments having recently taken place.
