Waste Collection

Whether you require a wheelie bin service, industrial skip or a complex waste collection, we will be able to offer a business waste management collection solution to meet your business needs. Whilst we operate a zero waste policy, not all business waste can be recycled. A lot of waste from the Battersea area that cannot be reused or recycled can be used for energy at a nearby incinerator. The energy produced by this incinerator is enough to power over 13,000 UK homes. The ash produced as a result is then recycled to produce building and construction materials.

Waste Disposal

Whilst not all forms of waste can be recycled, Business Waste Ltd use state of the art waste management technology to suit your business requirements and to maximise the amount of waste recycled. With various categories of recyclable materials, over 50 types of recyclable plastic and other reusable materials it can be difficult to cope with your business waste.

We work alongside local recycling centres in Battersea to ensure we reduce all landfill use and aim to reuse all materials where possible. Your business waste can be turned into a new product for sale and reuse.

The focus on recycling within the UK is more important than ever. The European Union had imposed a target of 50% of all waste in the UK to be recycled by 2020. Currently the UK recycles only 44% of all waste and so there is much room for improvement over the next few years. It is for businesses to lead the way in recycling and green waste management. In recent years, Battersea has recycled below the EU target of 50%. It is for businesses and commercial organisations to lead the way to a greener future for Battersea and to support the area in reaching the overall UK target.

Recent surveys have shown that businesses who recycle are likely to be more successful and have a higher reputation than those who don’t. If you would like to offer recycling bins to your staff and customers Business Waste Ltd can arrange this for you. This enables your staff and customers to feel satisfied that they have helped reduce their carbon footprint on a daily basis.

At Business Waste Ltd we aim to recycle all business waste and send only the minimal waste necessary to landfill in Battersea. Once collected we will separate your waste into non recyclables and recyclables before disposing of the materials correctly and efficiently.

  • Is Business Waste ISO certified?

Yes, Business Waste has received Alcumus ISOQAR certification for:

    • ISO 9001: 2015 – Quality management systems
    • ISO 14001: 2015 – Environmental management systems

These are both in the scope of registration for the provision of waste management brokerage.

  • What is ISO certification and why is it important?

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental group that uses experts to set global standards for providing innovation and solutions to worldwide challenges. ISO certification confirms a management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure meets the requirements for standardisation and quality assurance.

ISO certification is provided by a third party – in our case Alcumus ISOQAR, which provides UKAS accredited ISO certification. The standards provide benchmarks for businesses to meet, ensuring achieving ISO certification demonstrates a well-run, stable business that’s ready to grow. There are more than 20,000 management standards, but the two we’ve achieved provide the following benefits:

    • ISO 9001: 2015 – helps put our customers first.
    • ISO 14001: 2015 – reduces our environmental impact.
