What bins will my workplace
in Wales need?
The new Workplace Recycling Regulations require workplaces in Wales to use separate bins to recycle common waste types. You’ll need a single bin for glass waste, WEEE, and textiles, but some materials can be collected in the same container, like paper and cardboard. Failure to comply with the new law could lead to a fine for your workplace.
Workplaces will need individual bins for:
- Paper and card (can be mixed together)
- Metal, plastic, and cartons (can be mixed together)
- Glass recycling
- Food waste – only premises that produce more than 5kg of food waste a week
- Unsold small waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
- Unsold textiles
