Commercial waste bag collection
We can deliver commercial waste bags directly to your business and arrange collection once they’re ready. Choose regular daily, weekly or fortnightly collections, or we can arrange a one-off or ad hoc collection if that better suits the amount of waste you produce.

What are commercial bin bags?
Commercial bin bags are durable sacks designed to store waste safely. They’re available in different sizes and colours, making it easier to separate general waste, recycling and certain specialist waste streams. Our waste disposal bags are made from polythene and are durable enough to hold various waste streams.
For businesses that produce clinical waste, there are also a range of specific waste disposal bags for storing and removing it. These include:
Commercial waste bag sizes
Waste collection bags are available from 40 to 80 litres. Smaller 40L bags can suit low-volume waste streams or premises where bags need to be moved frequently, while larger 80L sacks provide more capacity for lightweight general waste and recyclable materials.
The standard commercial waste bag size is 39” (99cm) in height and 18” (45cm) wide. Weight limits vary depending on the size of the commercial bin bag and the type of waste you put in it. Often this is around 5 kg, but our team can confirm sizing as part of your service.
When are commercial waste bags useful?
Commercial waste bags can be useful where there isn’t enough space to store wheelie bins or where access makes moving larger containers difficult. This could include locations with narrow entrances, restricted collection areas or limited outdoor storage.
They’re also useful when your business only produces small amounts of a particular waste stream or needs extra capacity alongside its usual bins.
Bags aren’t suitable for every type or volume of waste. Our team can advise whether sacks, wheelie bins or another container would work best for your collection requirements.
For larger volumes of cardboard, paper, plastic and other dry recycling, a dedicated recycling bin may offer a more practical option.
Waste bags and Simpler Recycling
Since March 31st, 2025, workplaces in England must separate food waste, dry recyclable materials and non-recyclable waste before collection. Smaller businesses with fewer than 10 full-time employees have until March 31st, 2027 to comply.
Commercial waste bags can form part of this setup where bags are suitable for the waste stream and collection service. Use separate bags or containers for the agreed waste streams to prevent contamination.

What can you put in waste collection bags?
What you can put in commercial waste bags depends on the type of sack and the collection service. Standard bags are commonly used for general waste and dry recycling, while specialist sacks are required for waste such as confidential documents and clinical materials.
