Meet our Head of Sales
Liam oversees all sales activity at Business Waste. Our external sales representatives report directly to him, ensuring healthy pipelines and proactive work is done to identify new potential prospects, while supporting the team with whatever they need to get a new customer signed up and onboarded.
James Smith is our internal sales manager in charge of the internal sales team, and he reports to Liam. James oversees the running of internal sales and Liam strategizes with him to ensure all processes are in place to review productivity and keep the team on track to hit target. Liam also liaises with our logistics department to ensure sales are rolled out efficiently.
Within his first few months at Business Waste, Liam introduced a new bonus structure to ensure staff behaviours mirrored the team’s KPIs to gain joined up thinking and better results. This helped conversion rates jump by 12% and has continued to grow.
To ensure quicker and more efficient processes where possible Liam has restructured our customer relationship management (CRM) system each year working in sales too. He works closely with James to ensure continuity of results in our internal sales team, which he has continued to produce while Liam took a step up into his head of sales role.
Liam also helped oversee our logistics department while looking after internal sales for one year while the business was transitioning. This involved ensuring delivery lead time averages were in line or below the lead time from the year before, and introducing new processes and KPIs to ensure we were on track to achieve this while ensuring the internal sales team were hitting targets.
