Waste Management Cheshire
At Business Waste, we aim to take up the slack by providing much-needed waste disposal and management services to businesses in Cheshire and the surrounding area. We can help businesses dispose of their waste responsibly and ensure that all recyclable items are sent to the appropriate disposal facilities. Business Waste can provide Cheshire businesses with weekly waste collections and waste disposal audits to ensure you remain in compliance with environmental regulations, and recycling for suitable materials.
Cheshire is a largely rural county with a population of around 1 million people. It is perhaps most famous for its cheese which is one of the oldest cheeses recorded in England; cheese manufacturing is one of the byproducts of the massive dairy farms that dominate much of the industry in the area.
But there is more to Cheshire than cows and cheese, the county is bordered by two of the UK’s fastest growing cities, Liverpool and Manchester, which ensures Cheshire has great transport connections to the rest of the UK. With fast rail links passing through the county and Manchester and Liverpool Airports providing connections further afield, Cheshire is one of the best-connected regions in the UK.

Waste Collection
Cheshire
With businesses in Cheshire not able to obtain waste collection services from their local council, they are left with the option of trying to find a reputable and reliable professional waste disposal service that can provide the necessary equipment needed to store and remove waste properly. In a rural community such as Cheshire, this can be a challenge, but Business Waste can help.
We can provide your business with local waste collection and disposal services including a range of different options such as standard wheelie bins, large front loader bins, roll-on roll-off containers and skips. We also provide trade waste removal services which include the removal and safe disposal of hazardous materials including asbestos, gypsum and used engine oil, along with standard items such as timber and building waste. Get in touch with our friendly waste disposal experts today and we’ll provide you with a quote tailored to your business waste requirements.
Waste Disposal
Cheshire
All businesses want to be environmentally friendly, but the reality is local councils don’t make it easy – especially for those based in largely rural areas such as Cheshire. When it comes to recycling household waste, Cheshire East council is actually one of the best performing councils in the country, with data showing that 52.9% of domestic waste is either recycled or composted. But when it comes to trade waste, businesses are left high and dry since Cheshire East does not offer any business recycling services, not even for a fee.
At Business Waste, we can help your business remain environmentally friendly by providing a range of recycling services. First, we’ll carry out a waste management audit to help identify items that are suitable for recycling. Then we’ll arrange for a number of coloured bins to be situated on site, clearly marked for general waste and recycling. Finally, we’ll arrange for weekly or biweekly collections to remove the waste and recycle it appropriately.
Recycling
Cheshire
Good UK transport links make Cheshire a particularly interesting place for foreign companies to base operations. Chemicals giant Ineos, pharmaceuticals company AstraZeneca, Oil distribution company Certas and global engineering company AMEC all have major facilities in the county.
And it’s not just international companies that call Cheshire home; Betfred, the UK’s largest privately owned betting chain is based in Warrington, along with the HUT group, one of the UK’s fastest growing online retailers. Bentley Motors also builds its world-renowned motorcars just down the road in Crewe.
All this farming and industrial activity mean Cheshire is already an affluent county, but it is set to benefit further from the Government’s Northern Powerhouse scheme which will invest £400 million in the region over the next decade. And there will be yet more investment when HS2 slices its way through the county in 2027, further improving transport connections with the rest of the UK.
Trust
Business Waste
But the ever-increasing investment and industrial operations in the county are putting pressure on the local council’s ability to provide adequate waste management in Cheshire. While investment may be flowing from the government, local councils are being forced to cut back on non-vital recycling and waste services.

Yes, Business Waste has received Alcumus ISOQAR certification for:
- ISO 9001: 2015 – Quality management systems
- ISO 14001: 2015 – Environmental management systems
These are both in the scope of registration for the provision of waste management brokerage.
-
What is ISO certification and why is it important?
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental group that uses experts to set global standards for providing innovation and solutions to worldwide challenges. ISO certification confirms a management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure meets the requirements for standardisation and quality assurance.
ISO certification is provided by a third party – in our case Alcumus ISOQAR, which provides UKAS accredited ISO certification. The standards provide benchmarks for businesses to meet, ensuring achieving ISO certification demonstrates a well-run, stable business that’s ready to grow. There are more than 20,000 management standards, but the two we’ve achieved provide the following benefits:
- ISO 9001: 2015 – helps put our customers first.
- ISO 14001: 2015 – reduces our environmental impact.
