Watford Waste Management
We operate waste collection routes throughout Watford and the surrounding areas, providing you with the waste management support you need. We pride ourselves on achieving 0% landfill and put recycling at the heart of what we do.
Watford may sound like the fictional borough of Walford from the BBC soap opera Eastenders, but it’s actually a town and borough found within Hertfordshire, around 17 miles northwest of central London. It falls within the circumference of the M25. It can sometimes be confused with Watford in Northamptonshire, which is further north.
The town of Watford, classed as an urban district, has (as of the 2011 census) a population of around 90,300 and has been led since 2002 by the mayor Dorothy Thornhill. It is built on the land surrounding the River Colne and is home to several head offices for various national companies and multi-nationals. Until the late 20th century it was also home to two large brewers, Benskins and Sedgwicks. In 2006, it was home to the World Golf Championship.
Watford does well for its recycling efforts and, in 2014/15, was found to recycle, reuse or compost 41.7% of all waste. Out of 352 districts, it was ranked 199th, although 13 other boroughs came within the 41% mark.
Please note: We’re unable to offer household waste collection or tipping services. Please see the residential waste hub section at the bottom of this page for help with this.
Business Waste offers commercial waste services for business and commercial organisations throughout the Watford area.
It has been proven time and again that recycling is far more cost efficient than disposing of waste via landfill and it is also evidently better for the environment. As such, the government has put in place a goal for 50% of all waste to be recycled, reused or composted by 2020. Watford still has at least 8.3% to go and every little helps. It is therefore of upmost importance that your business is working hard to help the local area achieve its recycling goals.
Business Waste can support you with this, helping you take pride in supporting your local area. As well as offering expert guidance, we can collect your paper and cardboard, metal and plastic (of which over 50 types can be recycled), your green waste and soil, bricks and wood or other building and construction waste materials.
It is important that you are working with a waste management provider that you can rely on. We pride ourselves at Business Waste on our regular and consistent collections, in which we can come to your business premises either inside or outside your business hours. We can also offer you one month’s free collections – just get in touch to find out how. As well as providing you with the bins you need, we can provide you with skip hire for larger disposals too.
We have a number of collection routes around Watford and can collect from as far as RAF Northolt up to Hemel Hempstead and St Albans. We operate across the M25 and M1 and our routes stretch out into Harrow, Wembley, Slough, High Wycombe and Barnet. Just contact us today to find out how we can help you get the collections you need.

Service is really good, had many problems in the past with previous suppliers however since been with Business Waste I have not had any problems what so ever. From the start of the agreement the sales team was really helpful and helped with my requirements. I am in a very tricky location with not much room to store a container however I was provided with many options from the sales rep to accommodate my requirements. Customer Service from the staff is outstanding. Definitely recommend 100%.
Great friendly service and really helpful staff!
