Business Waste offer an array of waste management solutions for Liverpool. From the trendy Quayside restaurants, clubs and bars to the businesses in the Liverpool’s Commercial District buildings such as the West and Beetham Towers, we are adept at designing waste management programmes of many different descriptions for firms on Merseyside. It could be a full site audit for one of the many corporations with a base in the city – such as Tate & Lyle, John West and the Vestey Group – or a last minute skip for a pile up of trade waste which is unexpected and needs urgent attention. We are committed to delivering our service around your requirements, meaning you enjoy a peace of mind which allows you to concentrate on your business.
Recycling your company’s waste saves you money. Everything that you send for recycling doesn’t end up in landfill, saving your organisation a small fortune in landfill tax. We can help you make the most from sorting your waste and help boost Liverpool’s poor recycling record into the bargain.
Latest statistics from the government’s WasteDataFlow resource shows Liverpool a lowly 333rd out of 352 local authority areas in England and Wales when it comes to recycling.
Only one quarter of waste collected in the city is recycled – that’s half the national average.
Wirral weighs in with 40%, but that’s still a long way behind the country’s leading councils

Liverpool Waste Management
Liverpool is a city which is famous the world over as the home of The Beatles and Liverpool Football Club. While the city itself is home to over 800,000 people, the Merseyside metropolitan area incorporates a population of over two million.
The Beatles were a rock and roll band known globally – featuring four Liverpudlians; John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Star – and cutting their teeth at the famous Cavern Club in the city. Their notoriety spread over the Atlantic during the ‘Swinging Sixties’, and they became household names after a stream of hit songs.
The Reds dominated European football during the late 1970s and early 1980s, cementing the city in the consciousness of millions around Europe. They swept to four European Cup wins during that period, and legendary players such as Kevin Keegan and Kenny Dalglish inspired their loyal supporters to travel with them all over the continent.
While the city has taken steps to bring waste management under control, the fact remains that the city still lies 318th out of 352 areas in the UK in a table published by Let’s Recycle, ranking areas in terms of their recycling rating. The city wants to reduce its amount of waste going to landfill and other environmentally harmful methods of waste disposal – so now the time has come to provide the waste management Liverpool businesses need to get recycling schemes back on track.
Please note: We’re unable to offer household waste collection or tipping services. Please see the residential waste hub section at the bottom of this page for help with this.

Service is really good, had many problems in the past with previous suppliers however since been with Business Waste I have not had any problems what so ever. From the start of the agreement the sales team was really helpful and helped with my requirements. I am in a very tricky location with not much room to store a container however I was provided with many options from the sales rep to accommodate my requirements. Customer Service from the staff is outstanding. Definitely recommend 100%.
Great friendly service and really helpful staff!
