Internal Sales Representative / Inbound Telesales

Reports To: Managing Director / Sales Manager

Main Purpose of the Job

The Internal Sales Person acts as the first point of contact with the customer, portraying a professionalism and confidence that delivers the ultimate in customer experience; to build an active customer base. By applying sales skills the Internal Sales Person will capitalise on commercial opportunities through negotiation of prices in order to achieve the sales targets / KPIs set by the Management Team.

Main Duties

-Once familiar with the services begin to be proactive on sales by implementing the agreed sales strategy.
-Apply various sales skills to capitalise on commercial opportunities through negotiation of prices.
-Maintain an agreed level of pro-active telephone contact with prospective customers.
-Effectively deal with telephone enquiries requesting quotations for services; compiling information on the desired services including prices from external suppliers.
-Create quotations in response to tenders received.
-Proactively chase tenders
-Ensure all quotations are followed up when necessary.
-Achieve team and individual sales targets as set by the Management Team within the agreed time scale.
-Maximise sales by continually expanding orders and up selling on all incoming and outgoing calls.
-Ensure all orders received are entered into the internal system accurately.
-Liaise on a daily basis with your colleagues and update them on any developments in your work, ensuring a high level of team relationships exist.
-Provide the Management with sales reports on a weekly/monthly basis
-Ensure that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion. Where relevant, escalate matters to the Management Team
– To ensure that all personal sales KPIS are achieved

Maths & English – GCSE (or equivalent) grades A-C

Computer skills
Excellent telephone manner Ability to work without close supervision
Ability to work closely to instructions
Numeracy skills
Excellent Communication skills
Strong attention to detail Proficient at Microsoft Office
Proficient use of Excel Demonstrates a good level of negotiation skills with internal and external customers Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal and influencing skills
